So far, I've transferred the Animated Futanari Compendium and posted a new doujinshi translation project. Please be patient as I'm still learning all that Wordpress has to offer.

Good news!

Thanks to all of the informative and encouraging comments and e-mails I received (you guys and gals are awesome!), I've decided to continue my blog, but on a different site. Please bear with me as I spend time learning an entire new blog engine and the intricacies of web hosting. Once my new site is up-and-running, I'll post a link here.

My new blog will have a slightly expanded vision, and below is a mysterious teaser image for what I plan to be an epic introductory post when my new site is up and running. I hope to see you all again soon!

I was preparing my next long overdue post when I received an e-mail from Google stating:
"We've recently received reports that inappropriate content has been posted to your Google Account for Picasa Web Albums. One or more photos displayed in your gallery violates our Program Policies and has been removed. Please note that if you continue to violate these Program Policies, we may suspend your Picasa Web Albums account."

In my case, the "one or more" images that were removed turned out to be one of my two large folders of images on this blog, including every single animated GIF. I spent hours compiling and organizing these images, and now they are all gone. Bloggers on blogger.com have no choice but to use Google's Picasa Web Albums as the storage location for all blog images posted.

When initially conceiving my site, I had assumed blogger.com would be an appropriate venue since I could choose to classify the blog as "contains adult content". However, if I had known that Google could decide to outright delete anything that "contains adult content", I obviously would never have selected blogger.com in the first place.

Note that the one remaining folder of images on this blog contains content similar to that of the content in the folder that Google deemed offensive. Therefore, you may see other images drop off in the future if they are selected for deletion. I am truly disappointed by Google's actions, pretending to accept blogs with adult content and then turning around and deleting such content. Since it's clear to me now that Google can delete blog content at their whim, I have no desire to make any further updates here.

However, I would consider continuing this blog's content on another more receptive blogging site... one that doesn't just SAY they allow adult content but truly ALLOWS adult content. If anyone knows of such a site, let me know, and I may decide to continue further updates there. If I do continue at a new site, I will definitely post a link here. ^_^

This latest challenge comes from the emotion-filled 4-part story 'Melt' at the beginning of Cuvie's tankobon 'Shitai Kara Suru No / I Do It Because I Want To'. This panel occurs at the very end of a flashback induced by Mitsuki's attempt to give Kazuki (the male lead) a blowjob. Although the flashback is quite horrific in nature, this breathtakingly beautiful panel at its end is what prompted me to investigate this story. In fact, it turned out to be one of the best love-triangle-themed erotic works I've ever read, and I highly recommend checking it out.

Top 15 H-Anime Scenes of ALL Time

ALL 3 PARTS AVAILABLE!

It wasn't easy, but after much deliberation, I have finally identified and ranked my all-time favorite h-anime scenes in order from #15 to #1. It was originally going to be a 'top ten', but I just couldn't narrow it down without feeling like I'd be omitting some greatness. If any of these scenes just happen to be one of your favorites as well, definitely post a comment on which one it was!

With the exceptions of #14 and #11, I strongly recommend the entire shows that each of these scenes come from. Many of these titles are commercially available on DVD, and I would be elated beyond words if this post prompted blog visitors to purchase one or more of them. My challenge to you: Identify your all-time favorite licensed h-anime title that you don't own on DVD and buy it. Just be sure that you're getting the official version and not a bootleg. If anyone accepts and completes this challenge, please accept my gratitude, and be sure to comment on which title you bought and why.

Shiki

Okay, I just can't help it. This impromptu post is completely unrelated to the main theme of this blog, but I just have to get this off my chest.

Now I'm not a huge fan of the horror genre, and I rarely watch an entire show in the span of 3 days, but my GOD, the 22 episode anime Shiki completely blew my mind... so much so that I only got two hours of sleep the night after I finished it. The reason for my restlessness was not because of its horror theme (although it was very creepy at times) but rather the intense and thought-provoking moral quandary I was in as I thought about it all night. In particular, I can't get my mind off of the intensity of episodes 14 and 22, which feature several of the most emotionally powerful scenes I've ever witnessed in any show, animated or otherwise. When I ask myself "How would I act if I were that character in that situation?", and it's not a clear-cut answer... that's when I know the show has some deep meanings.

Shiki features a fascinating and diverse cast of characters, an intelligently written plot, and intense emotional situations that raise a whole host of moral questions. Do not miss this great show.

09-FEB-2011 EDIT: After some further introspection, I now know why I love this show so much: the characters. I cared so much about the characters and what was going to happen to them. (Well, everyone except Masao. I can't imagine anyone liking him). Whether it be Megumi's and Shizuru's extreme hotness, Toshio's determination, Sunako's enigmatic nature, Ritsuko's kindness, Kaori's trepidation... I could go on and on, but it's clearly the well-developed characters that get the viewer emotionally invested.

Koe de Oshigoto! The Animation

Sorry for the lack of new posts recently. Although I have been keeping my compendiums up-to-date... ^_^

Although I haven't yet read the manga on which it is based, I wanted to bring to your attention the first episode in a great new daring OVA series: Koe de Oshigoto! The Animation. Having just finished Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, I was pleasantly surprised how much further KdO took its subject matter. The plot revolves around Kanna, a shy girl who decides to help her older sister at work by serving as a voice actor. It sounds fairly innocent, right? Well, her sister is in the eroge business, which means Kanna has to learn to say all sorts of naughty things in front of others at the studio.

Plus, she has an amazing ability that is revealed at the end of the episode. Don't miss it!
