While pondering what type of article to write next, I wanted to put together another futanari-themed writing that would be helpful to me and others who share my love of the genre. An interesting idea came to mind: What if I compiled a comprehensive list of every single futanari ever animated? It was quite a bold vision that I initially thought would be too difficult and time-consuming. However, after I started summarizing some of the futanari that I knew offhand, it turned into a rather enjoyable exercise.
This article is intended to be a one-stop-shop for providing general information and screenshots of every single h-anime futanari ever created (eroge not included), no matter how brief their appearances may have been. I have listed every episode or title in which the character appears as a futanari, and I have sorted all entries by the release date of the first episode in which the character is established as one. NOTE: My ratings are highly subjective and simply reflect my opinions on the character design and the amount of natural passion she evokes. Good production values, high quality animation, sensual voice-acting, and intriguing settings go a long way into making a great futanari.
NOTE: Characters that are often classified as futanari but who I feel do not quite satisfy its often debated definition will be tagged with a "NOT FUTA" sign. Such characters include those who (i) appear to be female but admit to being a man, (ii) do not have a "true" penis (i.e. a tentacle or enlarged clitoris), or (iii) completely lose their feminine identity.
